How we work together
01
We Get to Know Each Other
First, Beth focuses on getting to know the student and family – their goals, values, concerns, and dreams.
03
collaborate during the application process
Drawing on her writing skills and knowledge of what admissions officers look for in college essays,
she offers feedback, brainstorming ideas, and suggestions to students as they write their essays.
02
build a tailored college list
Using her research and problem-solving skills, she then develops a personalized college list for each student.
04
REVIEW OPTIONS STRATEGICALLY WITH DECISION-MAKING SUPPORT
As the student receives admission offers, Beth will help the student to strategize next steps, brainstorm options, and understand how to write letters of continued interest in case of deferral or waitlist. Additionally, Beth will share negotiation strategies for families to maximize awarded merit and financial aid at the student’s
first-choice admitted college.
the goal
Beth's goal is to make the college selection and application process less stressful and more rewarding for students and their families. As the mother of two teenagers and one young adult, she understands high school and the college admissions process on a personal level as well. She knows that the college selection and application process can be overwhelming, and her goal is to make this experience successful for her students. Specifically, she helps students to find the colleges/universities that fit them educationally, financially, and socially.
